Bladen Community College may be poised to see a financial boon if voters approve the NC Connect bond referendum in March.
The proposed bond calls for BCC to receive $6.5 million, if approved. President William Findt said the funds will be used to help with the construction of a Workforce Development Building.
The proposed building would be two stories and house a science lab as well as classroom space. It will also have a teaching auditorium and computer lab as well as an EMS lab.
In addition to funds for BCC, there are also funds proposed for Jones Lake State Park and Singletary Lake.
If approved, Jones Lake would receive $651,750 and Singletary Lake would receive $575,250.
