Bladen Community CollegeWhy wait until the fall to get started on your higher education?  Bladen Community College is currently offering a large selection of 8-week classes available in the spring semester.   These classes begin in mid-March and run through May 14.

According to Associate Vice President for Student Services Barry Priest, enrolling now and taking some of these classes can make it possible for a student to complete their degree a semester earlier than they would have otherwise.  Registration is open for these classes until March 16 or when no more class seats are available.

Classes are available in a variety of courses.  Some of the classes include: ACA 115, Success and Study Skills; ACA 122, College Transfer Success; ART 111, Art Appreciation; ART 114, Art History Survey I; ART 115, Art History Survey II; BIO 169, Anatomy & Physiology II; BUS 110, Introduction to Business; EDU 262, Early Childhood Admin II; EDU 275, Effective Teacher Training; ENG 113, Writing and Inquiry; HIS 237, The American Revolution; HUM 115, Critical Thinking; MUS 110, Music Appreciation; OST 134, Text Entry & Formatting; OST 141, Medical Terms—Med Office; OST 148, Medical Coding/Billing & Insurance; PED 110, Fit and Well for Life; POL 110, Intro to Political Science; PSY 110, Life Span Development; PSY 150, General Psychology; PSY 241, Developmental Psychology;  and SOC 210, Intro to Sociology.  In addition, a variety of developmental classes are available.  Some of the developmental classes end in mid-April.

Many of these classes are available online and require little, if any, seated class time on campus.  For a complete list of the available classes, when and how the meet, and the instructor, go to the BCC website (www.bladencc.edu) home page and click on “Second 8-Week Classes!” under the heading “2015 Late Spring Mini Classes”.
