DUBLIN – Bladen Community College is proud to announce the arrival of a new nursing simulation baby, and the college is celebrating with a floating baby sprinkle on Thursday, February 23 at 11 a.m. in the Nursing Simulation Lab.

The purchase of the high-fidelity simulation baby was possible thanks to a donation from Bladen We Care. The nursing simulation baby is a lifelike manikin that allows nursing students to practice caring for an infant in a safe, controlled environment. The manikin can simulate a range of health conditions and medical emergencies, providing students with hands-on training to prepare them for real-life situations.

The baby sprinkle is a fun way for students, faculty, and staff to celebrate the arrival of the new simulation baby and to welcome it to the Bladen Community College family. Attendees can tour the Nursing Simulation Lab, meet the new baby, and enjoy light refreshments.

“This new nursing simulation baby is a valuable addition to our Nursing Program,” said Dr. Amanda Lee, President of Bladen Community College. “It provides our students with a realistic training experience and prepares them for their future careers as healthcare professionals. We are thrilled to welcome this new addition to our campus and to celebrate with a baby sprinkle.”

The Nursing Program at Bladen Community College offers students a range of degree and certification options, including Associate Degree Nursing and Practical Nursing. The Practical Nursing and Associate Degree Nursing Program application deadline is March 1.
