B and EJames Calvin King, 29 of Log Cabin Road, Teachey, NC remains in Bladen County jail and his bond was raised Friday from $500,000 to $1.5 million by Judge Fred Gore.

King was arrested after he attempted to break into a storage building on NC 53 near the NC 11 intersection.  The arrest followed a massive search by numerous law enforcement units near Haw Bluff Baptist Church, east of Kelly.
 
King is a prime suspect in numerous breaking and entering cases in the Kelly and White Oak areas over the past couple of weeks.
 
Current charges include breaking and entering and one felony probation violation.
 
Sheriff James McVicker noted several local agencies participated in the search for the suspect.  Included was the White Lake Police and Fire Department, Bladen County EMS, Bladen County Emergency Services and the NC State Highway Patrol.  Agencies from Brunswick and Pender County also assisted.
