Christine Hayes Moody, a Bladen County Resident for over 40 years, was diagnosed with Stage 4 metastatic breast cancer in March of this year. Christine is 71 years old and resides in Elizabethtown with her husband, Wayne Moody, Sr. Her children, grandchildren, and community are planning a benefit bike ride and plate sale on August 28th, 2021, at 3715 US Highway 701 North in Elizabethtown. This will help support Christine and assist with the costs of her battle with cancer.

Bike registration will begin at 9 am and end at 10 am. The cost is $20 for single riders and $25 for double riders, meal included.

Boston butt plates will be available for sale starting at 11 am. The cost for the plates is $8 each, including Boston butt, baked beans, slaw, dessert, and a drink.

The benefit hosts stated, “Please come out and support Christine as she has supported and worked many benefits before. She now needs our help.”

The family is asking for everyone to follow the local guidelines for COVID-19.
