The year 2020 has been a year for the history books. Although times are tough, there is enduring beauty all around us. BladenOnline has a goal to celebrate the beauty in our communities.
The Best of the Best Essential Workers contest votes were collected during the month of September. People cast votes to express gratitude for their favorite Essential Worker. However, COVID-19 has affected us all and almost all aspects of life. BladenOnline has not been immune to issues.
Our goal was to publish the top three winners of each category in the Bladen County Beautiful magazine and feature them in a unique digital section on our website. Due to unforeseen circumstances during this year of changes, not all the contest categories were listed in the magazine.
Therefore, today, on Election Day, it is only fitting that we celebrate those Essential Workers, voted by the people to be the Best of the Best, are published in this Digital Special Section.
