Another scam is making the rounds in the form of a pop up ad that informs the victim that they have been selected for an opportunity to win I-Pad or a MacBook Pro. In this case, a BladenOnline reader received a pop up ad over the weekend that appears to indicate it is from Star Wireless.
The message indicates the victim has an opportunity to win a prize but in order to be eligible for the prize, they have to complete a survey. According to reports, the survey requests personal information such as how long you have been a Star Wireless customer.
The Star Telephone Communications Facebook page carries a message indicating this pop up ad is a scam. The company tells customers not give any personal information to anyone over the internet.
