4 beast fest

Plans are well underway to make this year’s Beast Fest the biggest one yet. Over 25 members of the Boost the Boro have been meeting and planning the festivities of the10th anniversary Beast Fest.

This year the celebrations will start Friday, October 28th with Fun Times Amusement kiddie rides, craft vendors, and a street dance with the band, “Honey Don’t”, from 7 p.m. until 10 p.m.

Then on Saturday festivities will continue full speed ahead with plenty to enjoy according to the booster members. A fun run is planned for Saturday morning. Don Chase from WKML will be the emcee over the event staged in the First Citizen’s parking lot with live entertainment.

Mascots: Beast of Bladenboro and Willie the Wire Hand from Four County, will be on site showing off their dancing talents. Craft and food vendors are already registered promising to bring a lot of variety to the shoppers at the festival.

Car enthusiasts can register for the Southeastern Cruisers car show from 8 a.m. until noon for $25. The show’s awards for the top 15 and 16 other categories will be presented starting at 3 p.m.

Miss North Carolina Outstanding Teen, Catherine White sponsored by Four County, will help judge the Children’s Costume Contest, which holds cash prizes for it’s winners.
