Bizzell Pate, son of Mr. and Mrs. Chip Pate, shot an 82 in the qualifying round of the 23rd North Carolina Junior Boys’ 13 And Under Golf Championship played at Asheboro Golf Course in Asheboro.
Bizzell’s score qualified him to play in the match play second flight of the tournament. In the match play he was defeated by Will Guthrie by the score of 2 and 1.
