FUQUAY-VARINA – The Bladen County 10-and-Under Boys All-Stars will open play Friday night in the State-Wide Activities Committee (SWAC) state soccer tournament Friday night at Fleming Park. The park is located at 503 Fleming Loop Road in Fuquay-Varina.
Bladen County battles the RMPR Hot Shots at 7:30 Friday night. At 9 a.m. Saturday the Bladen team will play host Fuquay-Varina then closes out pool play at 3 p.m. against SGAA. The top 3 teams in each pool advance to a Sunday game at 9:30 a.m. or 12:30. The championship game is slated for 2 p.m.
Coaches for the Bladen 10U All-Stars are Stephanie Thurman, Laura Hall and Jay Raynor. Team members are: Alfredo Funoz Munoz, Jose Elian de la Sancha, Tyler Thurman, Greigh Butler, Douglas Varley, Roberto Sandoval Bravo, Diego Sandoval Bravo, Chatham Rigsbee, Owen Hall, Gael Edahi Ortiz-Aguilar, Andrew Martinez and Luis Ayala.
