Kallie Bass slugged a home run and batted 2-2 to lead the Bandits to a 7-2 victory over the Heat Tuesday night in Bladen Recreation 8-10 League softball action.

Bass drilled a line drive to right-centerfield in the second inning and circled the bases as it rolled to the fence. Josey Pait walked and scored a second Bandit run in the third inning.

Emma Dunn belted a fourth inning single and scored when Bass connected for her second hit of the game.

Sydney Thompson was hit by a pitch and scored the first Heat run on Tatum Allen’s fielder’s choice in the bottom of the fourth.

Pateyn Pope and Gabriella Bray were both hit by pitches to begin the Bandit fifth inning. Hayley Wright drove in both Pateyn Pope and Bray with a single. Pait was hit by a pitch and raced home when Danenn Knight hammered a hit. Knight came around to score the final Bandit run that pushed the lead to 7-1.

Pitcher Jenna Brice walked and scored the final Heat run on Greer Pope’s hit.

Bass drove in 2 runs for the Bandits. Wright drove in 2 runs with a single. Dunn and Knight collected one hit each. Pait scored twice, and Dunn, Pateyn Pope, Bray and Knight scored one run each.  Bray was the winning pitcher.

Thompson and Brice scored the Heat runs. Greer Pope and Allen drove in runs. Pope had a hit for the Heat.
