The Bladen County Sheriff’s Office has led an extraordinary relief effort to support those affected by Hurricane Helene in Western North Carolina. Thanks to the selflessness and generosity of individuals from Bladen and Columbus Counties, the relief drive far exceeded expectations, resulting in three 18-wheelers fully loaded with essential supplies for hurricane victims.
This remarkable effort, organized by the Bladen County Sheriff’s Office, was made possible through a strong partnership with Sheriff Bill Rogers and the Columbus County Sheriff’s Office, who worked together to ensure that these supplies would reach the affected areas swiftly and efficiently.
A special acknowledgment goes to Kevin Stewart, who generously donated his truck, fuel, and time to personally drive one of the loads of supplies to Western North Carolina. His contribution, alongside countless others who donated, is a powerful testament to the compassion and commitment of these communities.
As the relief efforts continue, the organizers are asking the community to keep the citizens of Western North Carolina in their thoughts and prayers, especially those who have lost everything in the storm. They also ask for continued prayers for the officers of Bladen and Columbus Counties, who are tirelessly supporting the recovery efforts.
