The Bladen County Board of Education held a special meeting on Monday, September 19, 2022, at 6:00 p.m. in order to review and approve the 2022-2023 initial budgets and other financial business items.

The Board approved a resolution for Bladen County’s installment financing for the acquisition of the Tar Heel facilities, and they approved the BCBOE State Public School Funds Proposed Budget, the current BCBOE expense proposed budget for the fiscal year 2022-2023, the BCBOE Capital Outlay Fund Proposed Budget for the fiscal year 2022-2023 and the BC Child Nutrition Fund Proposed Budget for the fiscal year 2022-2023, and last but not least the BC Other Special Revenue Fund Budget for the fiscal year 2022-2023.

“These are the budgets we have received as of today from the state and the federal, and also the funding that we have received so far for the other special revenue. We are asking approval for these budgets,” Susan Harrison with Bladen County Schools stated before the Board members.

All items on the agenda were approved unanimously with no discussion from the Board members.

The meeting was held in the Board Room at the District Administration Building and published on the Bladen Livestream YouTube Channel.

Special note –
