The Bladen County Board of Commissioners will discuss the fiscal year 2021-22 budget during a special meeting Monday at 5 p.m. It will take place prior to the board’s regularly scheduled meeting set for 6:30 p.m.
Both meetings will be held in the Commissioners’ Room, which is located on the lower level of the Courthouse in Elizabethtown. Occupancy will be limited to 24 people because of social distancing protocols. The meetings also can be accessed by phone by calling 571-317-3122 and using access code 377-006-581.
Among the items on the board’s agenda for its regular meetings are proposals to schedule public hearings June 7 regarding the budget and the proposed economic development budget for the 2021-22 fiscal year.
The board will recognize Wanda Wilson and Rodney Warwick on their retirements. Wilson worked 30 years as a Health Department Processing Assistant III and Warwick worked 24 years for the county, most recently as an investigator for the Bladen County Sheriff’s Office.
