The Bladen County Board of Commissiners on Monday are expected to conduct a public hearing about a proposed grant to Bladen’s Bloomin’ and also consider approving several ARPA funding requests during its meeting.

The meeting is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. inside the Commissioners’ Room which is located on the lower level of the Bladen County Courthouse in Elizabethtown.

The public hearing is for a proposed $100,000 grant to Bladen’s Bloomin’ Agri-Industrial Inc. to expand a revolving loan fund to assist businesses in Bladen County.

Several requests from American Rescue Plan Act funds are up for approval. Among them:

• $190,000 to the Town of East Arcadia for work on the gymnasium;

• $69,695 to Zara Betterman Corporation for a heating and cooling unit for Baltimore Center;

• 58,670 to Lower Bladen County Communities Citizens Group to assist with community needs in Kelly.
