The Bladen County Board of Commissioners are expected to consider approving a five-year incentive grant with Severn Peanut Company Monday night following a public hearing about the proposal.

The peanut-shelling company will invest between $7.5 million and $15 million and create no fewer than 50 jobs, according to the proposal with Bladen County. Severn Peanut will upgrade and renovate its facility in Elizabethtown for peanut butter production.

The commissioners are scheduled to meet at 6:30 p.m. Monday inside the Commissioners’ Room located on the lower level of the Bladen County Courthouse at 106 East Broad Street in Elizabethtown.
