The Bladen County Board of Commissioners on Monday night are expected to consider approving a request for qualifications for an Emergency Operations Center architectural and feasibility study as well as the purchase of two ambulances during its regularly scheduled meeting.

The meeting is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. inside the Commissioners’ Room located on the lower level of the Bladen County Courthouse in Elizabethtown. The meeting is open to the public and also is available by phone by calling 571-317-3122 and using access code 377-006-581.

Other items on the agenda include:

• Consider approving library hours of operation

• Consider approving a Creating Outdoor Recreation Economies program grant application

• Recognize Cynthia Jones, who retired Sept. 1 from the Revenue Department. The boar also will recognize county employees for service awards, including Ricky Hall for 25 years with the Solid Waste Department and Karen Davis for 25 years with Soil & Water Conservation.
