DUBLIN – Bladen Community College will be conducting a campus-wide test using the outdoor emergency warning systems on Wednesday, Jan. 18 and Thursday, Jan. 19.
The test is intended to ensure campus safety officials have the methods and systems to deliver urgent alerts and warnings campus-wide during an emergency or disaster, assess the operational readiness of the infrastructure required to distribute messages, and determine whether technological improvements are needed. Cell phones that have opted in to receive notifications from the college’s emergency notification system, Regroup, will also receive this test via text message.
