NEW BERN – The Bladen County Recreation 12U Girls Basketball All-Stars competed in the State-Wide Activities Committee sectional tournament Saturday at West New Bern Recreation Center.
Bladen County lost their first game Saturday by a 24-18 score then rolled to a 30-18 victory in their second game. Onslow County defeated Bladen County 32-29 Saturday afternoon in an elimination game.
Members of the Bladen 12U Girls All-Stars were: Karly Ross, Kaniyah Hairston, Mialanni McDowell, Georgia Hester, Demeria Phillips, Iveonna Ward, Cara Priest, Laila Smith, Leslie Basilio, Ella Campbell, Alaya White and Cabria Baldwin. Head Coach was Whitney Lee. Assistant Coaches were: Jessica Lee and Jermaine Henry.
