NEW BERN – Bladen County’s 12U Softball All-Stars played two games Friday in the State-Wide Activities Committee Sectional Tournament.
In their opening game, Bladen County lost 17-12 to Onslow County. Lena Damasco-Trinidad batted 3-4 with a double, 2 runs batted in and 2 runs scored. Catcher Holland Davis finished 3-4 at the plate with 2 rbi’s and a run scored. Kaitlynn Brisson also batted 3-4.
Molly Pait turned in a perfect 2-2 game with a double, 3 rbi’s and 2 runs scored. Laci Storms slammed 2 doubles, scored twice and drove in 2 runs. Emmee Ward belted a double, scored twice and drove in a run.
Violet Allen smashed a double, scored a run and drove in a run. Marlie Walters and Karly Ross smacked one hit each. Ross scored 2 runs and drove in a run. Walters scored a run.
Farmville defeated Bladen County 20-3 in an elimination game. Brisson batted a perfect 2-2, scored twice and ripped a double. Storms hammered a double, and Davis walked and scored a run.
Members of the Bladen County All-Stars are: Kaitlynn Brisson, Laci Storms, Stacey Gomez, Kennedy Carroll, Karly Ross, Hannah Richardson, Emmee Ward, Lena Damasco-Trinidad, Violet Allen, Molly Pait, Marlie Walters and Holland Davis.
Head Coach of the Bladen All-Stars is Jerry Hill and assistant coaches are Angela Fields and Shannon Ross.
