Bladen County’s 14-and-Under Boys All-Stars defeated Boone 3-0 Sunday to advance to the State-Wide Activities Committee State Soccer Tournament championship game where the Bladen team lost to Wilson 7-0 to finish in second-place in the tournament.
Garrett Melvin, Jake Evans and Joseph Masaid scored one goal each for the Bladen team in the win over Boone. Melvin and Evans finished the State Tourney with 4 goals each. Masaid had 2 goals in the tournament.
The Bladen County All-Stars pictured are: Jackson Bostic, Garrett Masaid, Will Hester, Jay Mc Gill, Garrett Melvin, Reid Potter. Micah McKoy, Nick Hester, Harrison Devane, Jacob Priest, Gabe Barber, Jake Evans, Sam Inscoe, and Joseph Massaid. Coaches are Mike Potter and Clint Hester.
