On Saturday, November 16, 2024, Bladen County and New Hanover County law enforcement officers will go head-to-head in a friendly but competitive basketball tournament at Elizabethtown Middle School, located at 1496 US-701 Hwy, Elizabethtown, NC. This exciting event, which kicks off at 6 p.m., is open to the public with an entry fee of just $5 per person.
The basketball showdown is part of an initiative to support the Angel Tree Program, a community-based project that provides gifts for children in need during the holiday season. All proceeds from the event will directly benefit this program, allowing attendees to support a great cause while enjoying an action-packed game.
The Bladen County Board of Education, Bladen County Sheriff’s Office, New Hanover Sheriff’s Office, and several other dedicated individuals and organizations have come together to make this event possible. Their combined efforts underscore the commitment of local law enforcement and the community to give back and make a difference.
