Bladen County residents are to be commended for doing their part in following the
COVID-19 related guidelines of public health officials.

Effective at 5:00 pm today, North Carolina will enter into Phase One of the state’s
three-part plan to reignite the economy.

As Chairman of the Bladen County Board of Commissioners, I would like to
express support of local businesses which are vital to the economic prosperity of
our community. I want to encourage residents to support our local businesses
while following recommended precautionary measures to maintain the health and
safety of our citizens and ensure that we will be able to move into Phases Two and
Three as quickly as possible.

Now is not the time to let our guard down, so please continue to use precaution as
you support our community by “shopping local”.
