Bladen County Seal with In God We Trust 1The Bladen County Board of Commissioners will meet on Monday and address a light agenda.

Bladen County Schools Finance Director Sharon Penny is scheduled to present an application to the Public School Building Capital Fund of the Nc Education Lottery. The project is for the replacement of a freezer/cooler at the Clarkton School of Discovery at a cost of $31,603.

Bladen County Planning Director Greg Elkins is scheduled to give the board an overview of the Planning Department’s responsibilities, services, and activities.

Bladen County Finance Director Lisa Coleman will present the board with the financial dashboard update for the period ending May 31.

Bladen County Health and Human Services Director David Howard will present several items to the commissioners. The first will be an update regarding Zika Virus and the Health Department’s efforts regarding education of the community.

Howard will present a pharmacy services agreement, a business associate agreement with Carolina’s IT, a renewal agreement FY2016-17 with NC Alliance of Public Health Agencies, approving a fee schedule, a renewal agreement for FY 2016-17 with Bladen Therapy Solutions, an agreement FY 2016-17 with Therapy Works, and a letter of agreement with Bladen County Schools for FY 2016-17.

Vickie Smith, director of Bladen County Department of Social Services, will provide an update regarding Able Bodied Adults without Dependents, consider approving Bladen County DSS IPad and recording of interview policy, consider approval of a consumer credit application for minor foster children, consider approval fo an agreement with Johnson Law Firm for Legal Services, and consider approving a renewal agreement with Bladen County Sheriff’s Office for Fy 2016-17.

The board will receive an update regarding the Bladen County Water District proposed Phase IV expansion project.

The board will also consider several advisory board appointments. The advisory board appointments include the Adult Care Home Community Advisory Committee, the Ammon Fire Service District Committee, Carvers Creek Fire District Committee, the Elizabethtown Airport/Economic Development Commission, the Local Emergency Planning Committee, the Lumber River Council of Governments Region On Aging Advisory Council, Planning Board, Recreation Committee, Tobermory Fire Services Committee, and Zoning Board of Adjustment.

The board will consider approving a grant application regarding the Lock and Dam No. 2 and No. 3 fishway project and approving a statement of support for the Guard and Reserve.
