Bladen County Board of Education will have their regular monthly meeting on Monday, September 13th, at 6 pm. Various information, consent, and action items are planned to be discussed.
Following the call to order, invocation, the Pledge of Allegiance, adoption of the agenda, and approval of minutes, there will be a time for citizen participation before information item discussion begins.
Information items include a maintenance update for September and the Bladen County Schools Audit Report.
Consent items include field trips, fundraisers, and the EC Psychologist Contract.
Action items include the face-covering policy, resolution on ensuring dignity and non-discrimination in schools, and new construction of Tar Heel School, all with Superintendent Dr. Atkinson. Next, Susan Harrison and Ann Brown will discuss the SRO contract, and finally, Dr. Beatty will discuss qualified observers.
A closed session, board member concerns, chair’s report, and superintendent’s report will follow, ending with adjournment.
