The candidate filing period began today, December 6th, at noon and will continue until Friday, December 17th, at noon at the Bladen County Board of Elections in Elizabethtown.
Filing for candidacy is a simple task: Simply go to the Board of Elections office and pay a filing fee. You must be a registered voter in the area in which you wish to file for candidacy. It only takes 10-15 minutes to file, and then you will receive campaign finance information.
Candidate filing for the NC Senate, NC House, and U.S. House are suspended until further notice. This order was issued by the North Carolina Court of Appeals this morning. Filing for all other contests will continue as scheduled.
Bladen County Board of Elections is located at 301 South Cypress Street in Elizabethtown, and operates from 8:30 am until 5 pm Monday through Friday.
