A Bladen County Commissioner is now facing allegations of misdemeanor child abuse. BladenOnline.com has learned that Ashley S. Trivette, a Republican who represents District 3 on the Bladen County Board of Commissioners, is facing a charge of misdemeanor child abuse in Brunswick County.
According to court records, she is scheduled to appear in Brunswick County Superior Court on April 10, 2018. She is also scheduled in Brunswick County Superior Court on April 2, on charges of DWI and expired registration card/tag.
We’ve made attempts to reach out to Mrs. Trivette at Healthworks Fitness and Wellness and were told she has stepped away from managing it.
We have reached out to the Bladen County Republican Party for a comment and the party is unaware of the charges, according to Walter McDuffie, Bladen County GOP Chairman.
