The Bladen County Commissioners met on Monday and were introduced to Kelly Robeson, the new Director of the Division on Aging, heard about recognition received by the WIC employees and presented two proclamations.

First up the commissioners were given a brief introduction to Ms. Robeson by Bladen County Health and Human Services Director David Howard.

Robeson said, “it is very nice to meet all of you.” She told the board that she is there to help and assist anyone.

The board also heard about  an award the employees of the WIC unit at the Bladen County Department of Social Services received at recently at a state conference.

The employees recognized were Tawanna McDonald and Persandra McKinley.

The commissioners also presented a proclamation to the Bladen County 4H proclaiming October as National 4H Month. Aniyah Cromarite also made a presentation to the board regarding the activities of Bladen

County 4Hers.

The final presentation was a proclamation declaring October as National Domestic Violence Awareness Month. The board presented the proclamation to Marjorie Lewis with Families First, Inc.
