The Bladen County Board of Commissioners will meet on Monday night at 6;30 p.m. at the Bladen County Courthouse. The board is expected to adopt a resolution proclaiming April to be Sexual Assault Awareness month.
The board is also expected to hear an overview of the Essential Single-Family Rehabilitation Loan Pool-Disaster Recovery from Jan Maynor, Executive Director of the Lumber River Council of Governments. The board will also consider approving an ESFRLP funding agreement and assistance policy along with a procurement and disbursement policy, and a project ordinance. The board will also consider an agreement with Rehabilitation Specialist Howard Campbell regarding ESFRLP-DR. The board will also consider approving an administrative agreement with the Lumber River Council of Governments regarding an ESFRLP-DR program.
Vickie Smith, Director of the Department of Social Services will make a presentation regarding naming April as Child Abuse Prevention Month. She will also present a request to the board to allow DSS to utilize the front lawn of the Bladen County Courthouse for a Child Abuse Awareness Event.
The board is expected to appoint three members tot he Southeastern Economic Development Commission Board of Directors.
