The Bladen County Board of Commissioners will meet on Monday night and discuss several agenda items.

Dr. Robert Heavenridge, of Bladen County Schools, is scheduled to discuss the Bladen County Schools’ facility needs survey.

Bladen County Fire Marshall Bradley Kinlaw is set to present and amendment to the Clarkson Rural Fire District funding agreement to the board and is anticipated to ask the Commissioners to declare old personal storage lockers as surplus and donate them to public safety agencies.

Bladen County Emergency Medical Services Chief David Howell will present the Commissioners with a request to reclassify an EMT-Intermediate position to a Paramedic position and Sheriff Jim McVicker will ask the board to declare items as surplus property and also request the board to approve a transaction with Lawmen’s Safety Supply to trade in surplus firearms.

Tax Assessor Renee Davis will present the board with the report of unpaid 2015 taxes and request the board establish a deadline to pay 2015 property taxes to avoid advertisement.

Finance Officer  Lisa Coleman will ask the board to approve financing terms for a two-year construction loan with BB&T Bank for the jail project and in a related matter she will ask the Commissioners to approve an official declaration of intent to reimburse.

The board will make an advisory appointment for the Lisbon Rural Fire Service District Commission.

Consent agenda items include several budget amendments, the county attorney invoices, and NC Department of Environmental Quality Agreement Regarding a 2015 Improving Energy Efficiency in Local Government Buildings.
