The Bladen County Board of Commissioners will meet tonight (Monday, March 20) at 6:30 p.m. in the Commissioners meeting room in the basement of the Bladen County Courthouse in Elizabethtown.
The Board of Commissioners are expected to conduct a public hearing to receive comments regarding the fiscal year2017-18 budget. Breeden Blackwell of Cape Fear Valley Health and Drew Cox, NC Department of Transportation District Engineer, are both scheduled to address the board.
David Howard, Director of the Health and Human Services Agency, will present a resolution regarding the sale of the Bladen County Home Health Agency. Also, Howard will present agreements with the East coast Migrant Head Start, the 2017-18 Consolidated Agreement, and Marianne Valentiner and Berkleigh Pridgen will present an overview of the State of the County Health Report.
Finance Director Lisa Coleman will present the financial dashboard and Tax Administrator Renee Davis will present a bid for a County-owned parcel and ask the Board to consider scheduling a meeting of the Board fo Equalization and Review.
The Commissioners will also consider the following advisory board appointments:
* Adult Care Home Community Advisory Committee (1 position)
* BARTS Advisory Board (3 positions )
* Bladen County Nursing Home Advisory Committee (3 positions)
Bladen County Manager Greg Martin will review the proposed 2017-18 County Budget, ask the board to schedule a meeting with the Legislative Delegation and provide a calendar update.
The Commissioners are also expected to enter into a closed session for matters of economic development and client attorney privilege.
