Here are some photos captured back in 2010 of Bladen County community members helping improve communities. The photoed events are continuing today.

This year the Spay and Neuter Clinics in Bladen County celebrated their seventh year anniversary by holding another Spay and Neuter Clinic. Dr. Gensel at Elizabethtown Veterinary Hospital, his staff, some volunteers, and rescue group, A Shelter Friend, have been working together on this project with commitment.

Bladen County Rabies Clinics have been offered in Bladen County for so many years, no one we spoke with could pinpoint the exact year the clinics were started. One thing is for sure, the communities’ beloved World War II Marine Veteran, local Veterinarian “Doc” Norfleet Ward Midyette started the Rabies Clinic to help his local animals and citizens.

More Rabies Clinics are as follows.
