The Bladen County community is coming together to support lifelong resident Roy Moore, who has recently been diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of cancer. Known as Sarcoma of the Lung, this illness is so uncommon that only around 400 people worldwide have been diagnosed with it. Currently undergoing chemotherapy and radiation treatments, Roy is fighting to beat this disease with the love and support of his family and friends.
On October 5, 2024, a fundraiser will be held to help Roy on his road to recovery. The event, titled “Believe In Miracles: Fundraiser for Roy Moore”, will take place at Allen Brothers, located at 250 Clubhouse Drive in Bladenboro, NC. The fundraiser will feature fish and pork tenderloin plates, served with all the trimmings for $14.00 per plate. Attendees can choose to dine in or take out, starting at 11:00 AM and continuing until the food runs out.
In addition to the meal, live entertainment will be provided by the Mighty Echoes and Friends, with their performance beginning at 12:00 PM. Guests are encouraged to bring their lawn chairs for a comfortable outdoor experience.
Donations, both cash and checks, will be warmly welcomed, and all proceeds will go towards helping Roy during this challenging time. For those seeking more information, inquiries can be directed to 910-876-4884.
