It has been almost two years since Bladen County first faced the COVID-19 Pandemic. Today, Bladen County Health Department announced COVID-19 related local deaths totaling one hundred (100). The latest total includes all Covid associated deaths throughout the past two years.

On January 5, the health department stated in a social media post, “North Carolina and Bladen County are experiencing the highest increase in new Covid-19 cases per day. Let’s remember we are Bladen Strong! Help keep family, friends, neighbors, and our communities safe. Vaccines, masks, social distancing, handwashing continue to be effective tools.”

On January 7, 2022, North Carolina Health and Human Services announced an NC COVID-19 Vaccine Update:

70% Adult Population Fully Vaccinated

74% of Adult Population Vaccinated with at Least One Dose

Bladen County Health Department is now scheduling appointments for vaccines, and Pfizer booster vaccines are available for children ages 12-17 with parental consent. To schedule an appointment, call 910-872-6291.
