The Bladen County Democratic Party will have its Annual County Convention to conduct business on Saturday, April 16, at 10:30 a.m. in the Bladen County Courthouse Superior Courtroom.
All Democrats are urged to attend and members of the County Executive Committee, Delegates to the Convention, and all local Democratic Candidates should be in attendance.
The keynote speaker for the event will be Dr. Kyle Horton, well renowned for her work with American Veterans and the successful effort of guiding through Congress the passage of the Suicide Prevention Bill for American Veterans. Afterwards, three long serving Democrats, Mayor Goldston Womble, Coroner Hubert Kinlaw, and Commissioner Delilah Blanks will be recognized for their service to the party. There will also be a mini-candidate forum open to all current Democratic candidates. Hamburgers and refreshments will conclude the convention at lunch.
