Elizabethown, NC – As unpredictable weather patterns and environmental challenges continue to shape the agricultural landscape, local farmers are being given the opportunity to adapt and thrive. The NCCE-Bladen County Center is hosting a vital grower workshop, “Farming in the New Normal,” on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, from 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM at the Powell-Melvin AG Center, 450 Smith Circle, Elizabethtown, NC.

This workshop will focus on innovative farming technologies and practices to help vegetable farmers combat extreme weather conditions and enhance productivity. A variety of critical topics will be covered, including:

✅ High Tunnel Production
✅ Weed Identification and Management
✅ Cover Crop Production
✅ Emergency Watershed Protection Program
✅ Plasticulture
