JailMany have heard our public education system needs support. Every year the Bladen County Educational Foundation, Inc., a non-profit corporation organized to assist and to provide support for public education in Bladen County.
This local non-profit is having it’s annual “Jail-A-Thon” to raise money for services to support our public education. The event will be held on Thursday, April 21, 2016, from the hours of 1:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M.
This fund raiser will consist of community members being “arrested” on the day of the fund raiser and brought to the Board of Education building in Elizabethtown. After the good sports are “taken into custody”, “bail” will be set and the participates are asked to call others and ask them to donate to the Foundation to raise funds for the bond.
If you or someone you know would like to participate in this fund raising effort, call (910)862-1488 to speak with the “Judge” of the day and event organizer, Attorney David Wall.
The event is always a lot of fun and have raised quite a bit of money which we distribute to the schools of Bladen County according to Attorney Wall.
If you would like to help support the Bladen County Education Foundation with a donation, you may do so by mailing your contribution to Bladen County Education Foundation, P.O. Box 72, Elizabethtown, NC 28337.
