Bladen County GOP Club hosts monthly meeting
An exciting range of topics and discussions of interest to conservatives highlighted the monthly Bladen County Republican Club meeting, held Monday evening at the San Jose Restaurant in Elizabethtown.
Club Chairman Walter McDuffie welcomed several new members to the club, and the meeting quickly began to focus on how to broaden the outreach of the Republican Party within Bladen County. It was noted that, by working to develop methods to broaden the party’s membership within the county, it would have to sharpen its message of responsible conservatism, and develop more effective ways to reach the many different demographic groups that are represented within the county. Members agreed that, in light of strong Republican victories at the national level, it was time to launch a more concentrated communications effort at the local level, with the intent of countering the current trend of liberal progressivism with the GOP’s more rational approach, which encourages sound fiscal, social, and political accountability.
