The towns of Bladenboro and Elizabethtown were awarded the Governor’s Community of Excellence Awards.
Scott Burney of White Oak received his Boy Scout Eagle Award.
The East Bladen football team had a season record of 7-3 while Clarkton High won nine and lost one for the season.
The Bladen Journal Football Player of the Week was Ellis Williams of Clarkton High.
