The “New Dublin Speedway” is opening with a big race scheduled.
Houston Brisson, of Dublin, owner of Houston’s Peanuts, buys Carolina Sands Golf Course and renames it White Lake Golf Course. Mr. Brisson’s brother, Dixon Brisson, was one of the founders of the group that built the course in the early 60’s.
The Elizabethtown Town Board announced that the tax rate for the fiscal year 1984-85 for the town would be 59 cents per $100 of property.
