The Bladen County Board of Commissioners appointed the following persons to positions at the Bladen County sanitary landfill: Russell L. Priest, heavy equipment operator, Craven Hair, landfill attendant, and William Clifton Kelly, truck driver.
Cynthia McClure was appointed Assistant Vice President at the Bank of Elizabethtown.
There was a break in at Bladen Ace Hardware in Elizabethtown. The thieves stole a quantity of shotguns and rifles.
