For four straight years East Bladen High School Band placed more All State Symphonic Band Members than any high school in the state. Ray Haney, EBHS Band Director, announced that 10 members were All State. They were Cathy Lineberry, Dawn Taylor, Donna Melvin, Finley Ann Bryan, Terri Squires, Doug Evans, Jr., Randy King, Allen Barnhill, Archie Taylor and Wynn Hair.
First Baptist Church of Dublin was holding Baptist Men’s Day. Guest speaker was William Fapp, Director of Recreation for the town of Lumberton.
Mr. and Mrs Roger Savage were celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary in the Lisbon Community Building.
