Bladen County Hospital recognizes Christina Lamb, BSN, RN II. She recently completed two important milestones in a nurses’ journey. The first, milestone is recognition as a RN II. Cape Fear Valley Health System offers a Clinical Ladder Program that provides Registered Nurses with opportunities for advancement. The program is designed to recognize and retain direct clinical care nurses.  Participants are involved in promoting excellence in nursing practice through professional growth, supporting the organization, advancing clinical expertise, and contributing to health of the community. Participation in the Clinical Ladder Program is voluntary. Advancement is an achievement, not an expectation of every registered nurse (RN). The Clinical Ladder (CL) consists of 3 levels: Level II, Level III and Level IV.

In May, Mrs. Lamb completed the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) at the University of North Carolina in Wilmington, thus achieving the second milestone. Completing the BSN offers Mrs. Lamb the opportunity to advance to Clinical Ladder III.

Upon Mrs. Lamb’s graduation from Bladen Community College in 2013, Bladen County Hospital was pleased to have Mrs. Lamb join the Surgical Services team. She has been an asset from the beginning, offering quality patient care not only in Surgery but also on the Medical Surgical Unit.  In addition, Christina has been a preceptor for new nurses and served on the Nurse’s Week Committee.

Mrs. Lamb resides in Elizabethtown with her husband and children.
