The Junior Beta Clubs from Bladen County are making final preparations to attend the 24th annual Junior Beta Convention held at the Sheraton Four Seasons hotel in Greensboro on Monday, Feb. 1, and Tuesday, Feb. 2, and we wish them all well.
According to CSD’s Heather Thompson, who serves as a state sponsor, there are 4,200 Betas registered for this year’s state convention.
Clarkton School of Discovery’s Andrew Cahn is seeking the office of Chaplain for Beta Club.
CSD Betas Autumn Brisson, Alyssa Bell, Cybil Campbell and Olivia Sholar will sing the national anthem for the opening of the convention.
East Arcadia Elementary Betas are scheduled to take part in the Songfest while CSD Betas will take part in Group Talent. Also, East Arcadia Elementary School, Elizabethtown Middle School and Bladenboro Middle School Betas will all participate in the Special Talent competition at the convention.
