The Bladen County Law Enforcement Officers Association helped to make Christmas a little brighter for some of our younger county residents. Officers spent Tuesday morning assisting Santa in making a few early deliveries, and the officers were rewarded with hugs and squeals of excitement as the children eagerly greeted them.
Santa is riding in one of the patrol cars as they travel from home to home to deliver presents.
The officers all agree the smiles and excitement on the faces of the children are what makes this day so special. According to one officer, all of the toys were made possible through donations and fundraisers held throughout the year. This year, they were able to assist 21 children from seven families to have a merry Christmas.
The families were all thankful for the officers and their gifts.
The Bladen County Law Enforcement Officers Association is represented by all the state and local law enforcement agencies in our county.
