Elizabethtown, NC – Get ready for an unforgettable night under the stars! The Bladen County Public Library is thrilled to announce its first-ever Statewide Star Party, an exciting event aimed at bringing the wonders of the night sky to the local community.

Partnering with 4-H and Morehead Planetarium, this celestial celebration will take place on Friday, April 4th, from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM at Brown’s Creek Bike Trail in Elizabethtown, NC. The event is open to children, teens, and families, providing a unique opportunity for all ages to explore the beauty of space.

Attendees will have the chance to observe the night sky through telescopes, learn about astronomy, and even get hands-on experience operating telescopic equipment. In addition to stargazing, the event will feature engaging activities designed to spark curiosity and excitement about space exploration.

We are SUPER excited to bring this event to Bladen County. It’s a fantastic way to connect our community with the wonders of the universe while having fun and learning together.

This free event is part of the North Carolina Science Festival, presented by RTI International, and is supported by NC Cooperative Extension, NC A&T State University, and NC State University.
