The Bladen County Middle School Basketball Tournament will begin Monday at Tar Heel Middle School at 4 p.m.

In previous years the Bladen teams had played a post-season tournament, but with Bladen County joining Columbus County this year to form the Waccamaw Middle School Conference the tournament will be played this week while Columbus County is playing their own tournament at Hallsboro.

All four Bladen girls teams will play on Monday. At 4 p.m. Elizabethtown (4-0) will battle Bladenboro (2-2). Around 5:15 Clarkton School of Discovery (4-1) will play Tar Heel (1-2).

Tuesday all four Bladen boys teams. At 4 p.m. Elizabethtown (4-1) will take on Bladenboro (3-1). The second game will feature Clarkton School of Discovery (2-3) against Tar Heel (0-3).

The girls championship game between Monday’s winners will be played Thursday at 4 p.m. followed by the boys championship game between Tuesday’s winners.
