In response to the potential for severe weather, Bladen County officials announced the early closure of all county offices at 2:00 p.m. today, January 21, 2025. The offices will remain closed throughout Wednesday, January 22, 2025. This closure extends to all solid waste convenience sites within the county.
Additionally, the regularly scheduled Board of Commissioners’ meeting for today has been canceled.
Bladen County Emergency Services emphasized that the safety of residents and employees is the top priority. Officials urge everyone to exercise extreme caution on the roads, as expected snow accumulation and black ice are likely to create hazardous travel conditions.
At this time, no plans have been made to open emergency shelters. However, Bladen County Emergency Services is actively monitoring the situation and will provide updates as necessary.
Residents are advised to stay tuned for further announcements and to prioritize safety during this period of inclement weather.
