This week a 2 year old mix breed male by the name of Luke has been picked! He’s very friendly and full of playful energy to share with his forever family. He gets along with people and children but he doesn’t get along with every dog. It would be best if his future forever family did a slow introduction between Luke and other family dogs. Luke is a big dog so it would be best to monitor small children to make sure they don’t get knocked over.

The cost to adopt a dog is $50 and $40 to adopt a cat which includes the animal’s first required shots. The adoption hours are Monday to Friday at 12:00 noon until 5:00 p.m. Donations of dog food, treats, toys, and cat litter are accepted by the shelter.

Bladen County Animal Shelter is located at 506 Smith Cir, Elizabethtown, NC 28337. For more information or questions call (910)862-6918
