Spread the love

By: Dora Brogdon

A one year old female cat by the name of Pearl was chosen to be Bladen County’s Pet of the week for a second time. She is a very super sweet and affectionate cat that just loves to play.

Pearl has been staying at the shelter since May. This lovely feline needs a caring family to come and take her forever home. So anyone that feels something missing, like a nice purring companion, then Pearl would be perfect for that role!

The cost to adopt a dog is $50 and $40 to adopt a cat, which includes the animal’s first required shots. The adoption hours are Monday to Friday from noon until 5:00 p.m. Donations of dog food, treats, toys and cat litter are accepted by the shelter.

Bladen County Animal Shelter is located at 506 Smith Circle in Elizabethtown. For information or questions call (910) 862-6918.
